Nursery & Reception were very excited to welcome PC Stevens to Westbrook Hay. The children listened so beautifully to what PC Stevens had to say. He taught us all about his role as a police officer and showed us all of his equipment. The children were then lucky enough to try it all on. He even used his radio to ring his work colleagues and send us all a message.
PC Stevens then opened his car and let the children all have a go in it….including beeping his car horn! He then took his car for a spin around the car park, showing off the lights and sirens. PC Stevens taught us all about how we could stay safe when crossing the road by wearing brightly coloured clothing, just like his police jacket.
We had a wonderful time learning about Police Officers, and lots of the children have decided that they would love to be one when they grow up.
