Westbrook Hay is very proud of the children’s academic achievement.
Academic Results
The focus of our academic preparation is for GCSEs at the end of Year 11. Across the school year our staff use formative and summative assessments as a means of checking both attainment and progress. Annual summative assessments in English and Maths monitor progress through individual, cohort and year-on-year analysis of standardised scores. These results are for internal purposes only, but are shared with pupils and parents where appropriate. As pupils move through the Senior school, more frequent assessment in both core and no-core subjects becomes an integral part of guiding pupils and parents in choosing GCSE options.
