This week our Yr 6 - 8 House Debating Competition semi-final took place. The pupils have been preparing their arguments for and against the relevance of newspapers. There were 3 speakers for each house, an opportunity for speakers from the floor and a summariser. There were some compelling arguments on show and it was clear that the pupils’ opinions were changed as a result. Griffin and Dragon narrowly beat their opponents, and will meet in the final during the second half of term. This was our first ever House Debating Competition and it showed the children's’ courage, togetherness and confidence. Our children really are prepared for their future!
