Congratulations to all those who took part in our House Music Finale!
The first House Music competition for our new Head of Music, Dr Lewington and some refreshes to its format. The event was split into two parts, House Soloist and House Song. The first music competition “week” saw over 50 acts take part in auditions. Categories included Junior Voice, Senior Voice, Junior Group, Senior Group, Junior instrumentalist and Senior Instrumentalist. The best four acts in each category performed in the finale. House songs were chosen from Disney Films and have been practiced for quite a few weeks.
We were privileged to welcome William Warns, Director of Music at Felsted as our external adjudicator.
The competition was very close and the standard was incredibly high. Well done to all those in the finale and to the winners of each group.

The house songs were well rehearsed and brilliantly performed and some even had guest appearances from children in our pre-prep, very cute and designed to win votes! Phoenix was the winner of the House Song with ‘Lava’ by Murphy, Kahele & Greig accompanied by Mr Warren (Head of House) on the ukulele. A well-choreographed production and performance and arguably more entertaining than the original.
