On Bank Holiday Monday our U11A boys’ football team travelled to St. George’s Park, home of the England football teams, in readiness for the ISFA National Finals. We enjoyed a tour of the grounds, some impromptu football and a buffet before settling down to watch the latest Premier League game in our rooms at the hotel before bed. We woke up to perfect football conditions and enjoyed our breakfast.
The top 24 independent schools in the country were present and split into 4 groups of 6. We proceeded to win all our group games with the highlight being great performances against Repton Prep and Hoe Bridge. A quarter-final victory over St Pauls was followed by a semi-final win over the Grammar School at Leeds. The final saw us play a tight game against Chigwell. Victory came via a Nathaniel thunderbolt and a 1-0 win with Albie going on to lift the trophy!
All the boys in the squad have worked hard towards this fixture and we are immensely proud of them.
