After my degree in Paramedic Science at the University of Hertfordshire, I worked as a Paramedic for four years. My first two years were spent in London and then I relocated to Devon and worked as a Paramedic in Taunton. In 2005, I qualified as a primary school teacher and worked for three years as a Year 3 teacher, before taking a sabbatical in Australia. During this time, I studied the martial art Aikido. After returning to the UK, I relocated to Hertfordshire where I took up a teaching post for two years as a Year 5/6 teacher and a Year 3/4 teacher at Shenley primary school. I thoroughly enjoy teaching at Westbrook Hay having taught in Years 4, 3 & 2.
