Our Year 6s were able to expand their French language knowledge and engage their adventurous spirits in a jam-packed trip to the chateau @baudonniere this term. Based near the small village of Les Chambres in Normandy, the chateau is set in 90 acres of countryside. The children had access to a wide range of on-site activities Including canoeing, aeroball, and bread making as well as taking part in immersive trips to the beach/zoo, a traditional local market and the bayeux tapestry. In the evening the children dressed up for a French Night, had quizzes and talent shows. the trip balanced practical education with some brilliant team-bonding activities. For many children this was their first trip away without parents and they were all so brave. They showed courage, trying new activities and foods including snails *, and worked together to make it through the assault course, thank you @baudonniere the children and staff loved their time with you!
